The End of the First Week of Internships

Please describe your internship site by answering the following questions...

What is it?

Kensington Stables

What kind of business is it and what kind of work do the professionals do there?

Its a Stable (place with many horses...and ponies) The professionals arrange meetings with riders and other interesting associations to help the stables stay alive and help the people overcome different difficulties.

Where is it?

Close to prospect park?

Tell a little about your mentor.

Walker is usually not there or too busy for anything. With Gallop we have a set of people who we help out. they are very friendly and like to joke. We sometimes go out to eat with them. On usual days its Chelsie. She bosses us around to do things. She is cool. No complaints.

What happened on the first day?

I got kicked on the right shin by a horse named Invisible, Visi for short. Im TELLING YOU! THAT HORSE HAS SOMETHING AGAINST ME!

What kinds of things have you done so far?

Grooming horses, cleaning hooves, getting coffee, riding, sidewalking, and im sure we did more but i cant remember.

What were some of the highlights of the first week? (Memorable moments, cool things...)

im in love 3 ponies and Margaret (huge horse)

Please answer some logistical questions...

11:40 or 11:45

How long does it take you to get to your internship?

about 1 hour and 5-10 minutes

When do you arrive at home?

What is your schedule? (What days do you work and for how long each day?)

Who are the two people that can sign your time card? (Your mentor and the additional person)

At this point, do you have any other questions, comments, concerns, queries, or inquiries?

Can i switch to being a reporter in Manhattan with Fluffy?
Not that i have anything against smelling like horse dung every day and having to sit on the train and the bus with ppl staring at me like i got the plague....but still, can i change?

Gargantuan Ursine, please post a comment on my blog when you have finished an assignment.

Your site is very fun to work at, it seems, except for the one unfriendly horse.

What is sidewalking?
